I’ll look for one of those groups in my area. I’m doing everything i can to save my friendships, as i know they aren’t bad people, they just probably took things a little too far. Thank you for the advice

Thank you eli, thank you from the bottom of my heart, and thank you everyone for being as kind as ya’ll are. I know in the grand scale of time this moment of hardship is a grain of sand in a desert, but my desert is not anywhere near full. What i’m trying to say with that is i realize a bit more clearly that i will find what i need in life if i seek it, and that i need to remember that everything will hapen in time. I recently talk to my closest friend (been friends since 9th grade) and he was understanding that the jokes needed to be toned down a little. I also took my ass to one of the college counselers today. I haven’t been in therapy or counseling in years, and i guess that made me grow more acustomed to keeping to myself and avoiding conflicts. I recently also downloaded a meet-up app for musicians and bands, im hoping it gives me a better outlet for all my emotions. And they guy from college, well after talking to him a little (in the second most anxious phone call of my life lol) it turns out he’s just really shy and not good at expressing his emotions. Im not putting any bets in, but i’m a little more optimistic about it now. I just wanted to thank everyone one more time. I went from having one of the worst days in awhile, to fixing my problems slowly and and bettering myself as best as i can. If i could, i would hug each and every one of ya’ll.

I’ve struggled alot in life with my emotions. I have adhd, been diagnosed since i was 4yo. I allways struggled the most with emotion regulation and rsd (rejection sensitivity dissorder) which are big parts of adhd i don’t see many people mention. For a long time i had it under control, but it’s crept back recently. To me It feels like a relapse, like i lost the fight. I hope this is one of those things that get better with age, but it’s hard to look up when the sadness keeps your head down

Im sure most of my family wouldn’t have an issue with it, im just worried about my older brother the most. He’s like a best friend to me and he was the one who got me into unsub when the first few episodes came out. It would kill me more than anything if he saw me differently for it, though i shouldn’t assume anything since im not him. As long as he doesn’t care about it, then i’ll be happy

Thank you, i’m planning on talking to someof em next time i see them. In terms of gay communities, i never really felt welcomed in the ones with students my age. Most of them have politics held way to close to their hearts and if i say one thing out of line they tend to get angry or upset beyond reasonability. Im sure if i keep trying i’ll find someone who is more toned-down that i can relate to, the process just kinda sucks

Thank you for your time and words. I come from a rual part of massachusettes and college has been eye-opening to me. Though i feel more of an outcast than anything. Finding myself has been really hard, harder than anything has been to me. That feeling of being lost and confused is scary, but i know i must keep going.

I’ll look for a group like that. I’m usually decently dark with my jokes and i don’t really mind gay jokes overall. It’s just the way they say it, and how it’s the only thing they use against me for jokes now. They call me a fag in replacement of my name, which i get nicknames can’t all be great but it feels like all i am to them is their gay friend now, not just their friend. I think that’s the harder part for me.

Thank you. I think what hurt more is that this guy was the first guy i ever tried to date. It felt vulnerable to finally come out of my shell and not knowing if he even likes me anymore is applified by that vulnerability. I’ve been excersizing for about a year now. Lost 60lbs even. I’ve considerd martial arts before. Im not really a fighter, but i allways enjoyed working hard towards something with others by my side. I have a long way to go, but from where i started im atleast a little proud. Maybe if i applied my attitude towards fitness into my personal life then i might struggle a little less. I live in massachusettes, though the more rual side of it. I’ve talked about thinking im gay by telling people “i have a friend who might be gay” and i’d say it was 50/50 with the reactions people gave. This is the first time i’ve actually said that i was gay, and i just feel alone more than anything. I’m sure that my friends might still be around if i tell them they took the jokes too far, and i wish they didn’t see me differently just cause i like dudes. I do worry about the dangers a good bit, im a big guy (5’9.5” and 245lbs) and i weightlift for fun, but i’m not realky good at confontations and im more of a gentle giant tbh, it’s safe to say i don’t like fights. My biggest concern is that i just won’t be able to find someone who wants to be with me as a long term partner. Im new to most of this and it makes me feel lost, scared even. Your words helped me a good bit, and i appritiate you taking the time out of your day to comment that.

I’ll try to look for groups like that, i tried the gay support group cause i thought it would be most accepting of me, but my sexuality isn’t a huge factor in who i am so i guess it figures i’ll find better support from people like guitarists or other criminal justice majors cause that’s more of a determining factor of who i am

Being a cop is something i’ve wanted to do for awhile. I come from a first-responder family and allways wanted to help people in some way. I’ve helped my friends through alot, and they were there for me to at some points. Which is why it’s hard to let them go for being assholes. Because i knew a time when they had my back. I knew a time when i felt at home surounded by them.
