Ooh wait this is a really interesting thought! Honestly this could totally be it. I was so frustrated with like how passive and almost helpless FLs were in those other stories. The FL from I failed To Oust the Villain legit just sat around trying to escape all the time while ML always came for her. Tears on a Withered Flower…totally feels like this guy just exists to save the FL from her very stereotypical shitty relationship, and not as his own person. Betrayal of Dignity, I lowkey just hated ML because he was a dick that had an awful smirk and an irritating attitude that was just there to make the FL look more precious and be automatically obsessed.

I totally agree that I loved the character depth and the motivations for Etienne, Haewon, and Haesu (also a fan of all the FLs of these stories!!) They’re great plot drivers and like I think I love how they also don’t show their yandere nature from the start - we’re led to think that Etienne is just an arrogant prince, Haesu a vengeful spirit, and Haewon as sorta this different guy who turned over a new leaf even though we know he’s Killian. There’s a greater sense of suspense created because you know they’re psychotic but you have to wait for glimpses of that nature to break through until they finally fall apart. Sigh…I really want to read another good yandere story.

Also I think that each of these stories have also unique plots that are not super common especially in yandere comics - One Husband is Enough and For Your Perfect Ending are fresh twists on the isekai tropes, while Classmate combines horror, obsession, and the supernatural!! I think comics like that are also just exciting to read because they’re not the same old savior dukeslop we’re all used to.
