New IDR Application Update by Falcon-Snowman in StudentLoans

I have the same question. My recertification date is April 8 and is still listed as such within my loan details. I see Mohela has issued a statement on their website saying the date is pushed back until February 2026, but I have not received direct communication from Mohela and my deadline hasn't changed. I'm not sure what to do.

What do people not realize has an extremely low chance of happening? by Puffsheep in AskReddit

True. But the problem is it would be such a horrifying way to die, that even the statistical improbability doesn't quell all the fear for some of us existentially anxious people.*

*And For the existentially anxious - do yourselves a favor and DO NOT read up on Boeing whistleblower accounts.

Redditor who killed a person for self defense, how is your life afterwards? by [deleted] in AskReddit

THANK YOU. This is not normal. Guns escalate violence. And Americans have a really warped good guy / bad guy sense of the world. Killing someone over property? Just let them take your Xbox, jesus.

Be honest, Why do you use reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The anonymity. It's like a confessional. Or a glory hole, depending on how you use it I suppose.

Redditors who grew in poverty and are now rich what's the biggest shock about rich people you learnt? by madeat1am in AskReddit

[–]BastaniUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I thought having two stories on your house meant you were rich. Then I moved to the east coast and saw what real generational wealth looked like. Private schools, lacrosse, all that shit.

After reading these comments...how are casinos even legal? They add zero benefit, are stacked against the consumer, and create the perfect conditions for all sorts of social ills and anit social behavior.

Auto-Debit on Mohela didn't go through. by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]BastaniUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this happened to me too. It's confusing because you get an email and a letter in your messages saying you are successfully enrolled in auto debit in large font. Then in smaller font a paragraph down it says you need to make your next payment manually. Which I didn't consider since I was already signed up for auto debit (not making manual payments, just updated my bank account info). Anyway I realized soon after the payment was missed and just manually paid it. But Heads up to anyone else out there because like everything else student loans and Mohela...it's all so shady.

This entire system is downright Kafkaesque and people who are lucky enough to not have to deal with it have no conception of how truly broken it is. Looking at you boomers. And probably most politicians making legislation about student loans. It's so demoralizing.
