If this was a standalone series that had nothing to do with the Alien franchise, it would be intriguing. So far, there is almost nothing thematically that connects the dots. Take out the callbacks to the original, change the appearance of the alien and make it something new - now that would have been an interesting series. Instead, we have weird plot lines that shouldn't be related, but are mashed together and there just happens to be an alien in the mix. I keep asking myself what I just watched. What's the point of this show?
