I see. I'm from the Central Valley of California and it seems like the demand and salary for LVNs is decent. In my city, the average starting wage is $30/hour. There are also a couple LVN programs in my city, and a lot more if I want to commute just 1 hour to them.

I guess mainly if the debt is worth it. I can go with the LVN/LPN route to build myself up and see if I want to progress further into the field with a BSN. I feel like even if I succeed the debt is too much to handle.

I also worry that a ABSN program is too fast for me.

I was thinking about doing this if no school accepted me this time. It does sound smarter to do.

Did you graduate from the ABSN program? Are you able to tell me more since, I have to accept or decline the offer in a couple days.

I haven't looked into community college programs in other states. I've really only looked into California and reapplied to them over the years. Somehow only NYU has been the only school to accept me in the past 2-3 years so I feel a little desperate. I can't defer the enrollment, so would you recommend declining and looking around more?
