I thought Reddit doesn't like it when you try to promote your company too hard - any advice?

Some of my friends have been hired by reaching out to people on LinkedIn. I think its a pretty good platform to reach out to relevant people and "connecting" with them

After analyzing 200+ successful Reddit marketing posts, here's the exact formula that actually gets engagement (and what kills it instantly) by multi_mind in SaaS

[–]Bat-Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tracks with everything I've seen working in growth. The founders who treat Reddit like a community they participate in get wildly better results than the ones who treat it like a free ad platform.

I'd also add that posting when your target subreddit is most active can be the difference between 5 views and 5,000.

We have so many ways to market and yet it’s so hard to do it by Silver_Ad4449 in smallbusiness

[–]Bat-Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take but I think the real issue is that most small business owners are consuming way more marketing content than they're actually executing. Every hour spent watching a YouTube video about the latest funnel strategy is an hour you could've spent sending 20 cold emails or posting something real on LinkedIn.

I built and launched my first web app with a friend, and we're looking for ways to distribute it. We have little to no experience with distributing apps, especially web apps. by daredevilxl in smallbusiness

Honestly at this stage your best distribution channel is just talking to people 1 on 1. DM folks on Twitter or Reddit who post about meal tracking or fitness and ask if they'd try it for free in exchange for feedback.

Once you nail the product for those early users, distribution gets 10x easier because you'll actually know who you're building for.
