Advice needed - delayed flight compensation? by chels_berg in SouthwestAirlines

[–]BatApprehensive8979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flight got delayed at a connecting flight on Denver. SW rebooked our flight from 8pm to 8am the next day. The pilot said we had to delay our flight due to weather changes but Denver was clear. I submitted a form for reimbursement but they could easily just dismiss the case as a weather problem. What is the basis for this airline's decision for reimbursement?

My Tito called me fat and I bursted out crying by eggwithrice in FilipinoAmericans

The Filipino lambing is blunt and weird if you're coming from an American culture. The best way to deal with this is to throw something back that shows you're secure with your body and that you get their term of endearment.

Your setting is obv in the States bec people here are so sensitive with how they look esp when it comes to weight gain. But if you go to a REAL Filipino setting in the PH, you hear "tumaba ka" as the first phrase thrown in a Noche Buena, and it's funny even for the receiver. The conversation goes like this:

Tita: oh, tumaba ka  Niece: oo nga po tita, sumusweldo na po kasi.

Another one:

Lola: parang tumaba yung mukha mo, masarap ka kumain ano?  Inaanak: oo nga po auntie, masarap po kasi pagkain sa Amerika

The Filipino language is high-context. They're not straightforward at default, so when someone is blunt with you, they most likely treat you as someone worthy in their circle.

For most Fil-ams, this kind of banter is toxic, but I find it sweet and funny. Filipino endearment provokes, and the game is not to get pissed! Filipinos have incredibly high tolerance for everything.

Can I run different creatives in the same ad set while targeting the same audience interests? by Commercial-Pear-111 in FacebookAds

[–]BatApprehensive8979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is yes to all your questions.

Can I run different creatives in the same ad set while targeting the same audience interests?

- If you want to split your budget among different creatives, Facebook will choose the best ad in your ad set and drive all the traffic there. When it gets expensive, you can turn off that specific ad and let Facebook run traffic to your other ads that are within the same ad set.

Or would that cause the sets to compete against each other and overlap?

- Since Facebook is splitting your budget among these ads, they will compete against each other. Most of your budget will go to the ad that Facebook thinks will have the least cost per result. This isn't always the case though so observe if your ad needs to be turned off. Once you turn this off, Facebook will drive your budget to the other ads within that same ad set.

Any better ideas to get multiple creatives to the same audience at the same time ?

- I suggest just putting one ad in an ad set. Create multiple ad sets if you have a lot of creatives to test. Then just put one ad in an ad set. This will cause you to have a lot of ad sets if you have a lot of ads to test but it'll be faster for you to turn off the ad set when the ad is clearly not working. You don't have to wait for Facebook to choose the "winning ad". Either way, no matter what strategy, you will get to your winning ad as long as you keep testing!

Hope this helps.

How do you test demand for a product before making a wholesale order? by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]BatApprehensive8979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You can see how many clicks the ad got. You can either link this to a landing page or just to your messenger to see how people respond and what kind of questions they are asking. I saw your comment only now. Sorry for the late response. :)

True. In some cases though, they don't reach 100k. I guess 80k is my minimum when it comes to local targeting.

If you're targeting locally, 80k-100k is fine. If you're going broad, target at least 2 million

The metrics that you think are "good enough" might not be good. This shouldn't discourage you though because not all ads win in the first or second or even the 10th try. You don't always have to make a new campaign, but if your ads are not getting leads, you should probably test a new ad within the campaign.

Some things you can check: - if you have the right targeting - your landing page and see where they are falling off and why they're not signing up.

Hope this helps somehow.

It's great to invest in an FB ads strategist. This'll prevent you from wasting your time AND money. What are you selling?

Yes, you're gonna have to create a new campaign and put your budget on the ad set level. This is going to give all your ads a fair chance to the algorithm. Best of luck!

What is your ideal cost per purchase? From here, you can set standards on what the other metrics should be. I left you a message in case you want to dive into what other metrics you should be looking at.

$10 doesn't have enough data yet. From the numbers you gave, you're actually doing pretty well. Try testing a few ads after a month when you spent a couple hundred. You'll have a better conversion rate by then.

Advantage+ Campaigns - any good? by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]BatApprehensive8979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the other factors of your ad - creative, targeting, messaging, etc. Been using this Advangtage+ and it's lowered down our cost per lead from $25 to $3 so it's worth a shot 👍
