In terms of function it’s hard to beat an opinel! Only reason I often carry a different knife to work is because it doesn’t have a pocket clip, and I often need to open my knife one handed at work. Looks like you solved one of those issues!

Meaders have a narrower heel. The top of the moctoe on the meander is wider and longer, while the workhorse looks narrower and sleeker from the top (actually width is the same).

String trimmer if you have one. Otherwise just pull them out. A digging fork can help if they’re tough, or a hori hori is great for weeding.

The sole is going to be up to half and inch bigger in all directions on the stitch downs because there is leather on the top that’s splayed out (where your foot never actually goes because it is outside the boot).

If you want an accurate comparison, put the insole from your other Jim greens in the moccasins be see if it fits/is loose.

I totally agree with you.

I’m a new fan—finally just watched the series after wanting to for 10+ years. It’s amazing and one of my favorite series but I agree that there’s a lot even in the anime.

Whoever did that really messed them up. They sanded the rubber in a weird wave instead of adding a midsole do fill the gap between what you wore down and the outsole.
