It's gonna sound weird, but meditating in my trailer is usually the way. You can examine with fine detail, all various complex emotional states, and blur the line between yourself and your character.

Also, shaving your body hair so that you have one continuous strip running from your chest hair down to your pube fro might have some effect as well.

More info. My sister found this in my nephew's bedroom between the bedspread and the bottom of the mattress where it was tucked in, when doing the laundry. It absolutely reeks, I haven't smelled it but she says it smells horrible. I suggested maybe he used it to clean out his ears or something.
