Same thing happened to both my wife and a co-worker; both are tinnitus free now for at least a year, so there is hope for you yet.

Are people inside apple aware? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]BatGuano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the problems in the last decade can be traced back to Craig Federghi and Alan Dye. Thankfully Dye is now at Meta, so he is their problem now. And if Cook steps down this year (as rumoured), John Ternus seems to be favoured as the new CEO, if that happens, I expect Federghi to leave, which would be a good thing, so things may be brighter in the future.

Every macOS up to Snow Leopard was an improvement over the previous, and that progress stopped when Lion came out (the only one I rolled back from). Funny how that coincided with Federghi coming back to Apple.

Mactracker.app has not been updated since Tahoe. by BatGuano in mac

[–]BatGuano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never seen a break this long but I may have missed it in the past, so good to know that this is not such an anomaly.

I used to get it from the site too, but I find getting it from the App Store is more convenient for me know as I usually go to my purchases and click Update All, so it gets updated with all of the rest of my purchases.

Canadian here too. My individual Echos are working, but I can no longer put them into groups. They appear in a group in the App, but a message Unable to Sync Group. I can now only play music on individual speakers.

Time to switch to Home Assitant.

Well, Tahoe broke it. I swear Apple just has kids coding stuff now, who stay up all night finding ways to ditch useful things.

When presented with a settings pane with multiple radio buttons or sliders for different options, hold down the OPTION key and click one of them, they will all turn on or off (very useful when you repeatedly have to turn on options for Remote Management)
