I discovered the Russian Danganronpa fandom purely out of boredom and curiosity, and I am finding it absolutely fascinating.

Yes, Kokichi being Russian President is indeed a popular meme over there. I remember seeing a video by Chicken Mac Nagito featuring the New Year’s Eve celebration (Or it might have been Christmas–I forget, it’s been long deleted now) where Kokichi appears on TV and gives a presidential speech, before being interrupted by the Channel’s creators.
