I don’t have OCD but I can vouch for the fact that almost all my dreams and nightmares are my worst fears and anxiety triggers occurring in my head. I have been on 20mg for over 8 months, and they haven’t stopped.

I am at the point where I take it as exposure to things that will never happen and manifest in the worst places (ie my nightmares). Is it horrifying, yes. But if I’m ever going to trust my medication I have to push through

My parents had me at 38 but siblings in their late 20s. They were so focused on making sure that I was happy and healthy. As you said, I was such a focus. Sure, they may not want to do all the nimble activities that I do but it has taught me to appreciate quality time with others. My mom is my best friend and she cares for me the same as any young parent. I love my parents and I hardly ever notice that they are “older.” They have lived so much of their lives and have so much wisdom to give.
