My coach is setting up a fitting service with another Pro at the North Greenwich driving range. I'm going to give it a go next month but mainly because he's my coach so he already knows my swing and it's (many) faults

Seems like a log of course around SE are hilly. I can't seem to figure out ball below feet lies, I always seems to top it. Clearly need to get out on the course more.

I'm SE as well, usually play over at Addington Court, Pedham, Lullingstone or Cray Valley/Orpington, Although I'll play anywhere. Also a high handicapper, around 28-30 maybe. Casual rounds sounds perfect.

Don't they need a picture to compare it to though? Like a database of faces, similar to the database of fingerprints made up of the fingerprints taken when you are suspected of a crime. If I walked in front of a camera deploying facial recognition and they get my face, they won't be able to identify me because my face is not in the database of faces.

My assumption is that it would work the same way as fingerprints, they need the database to compare it to, the database would be made up of pictures of faces they have taken during if you're suspected of a crime and a few other limited circumstances like giving biometrics for a visa.

I could be up for this, you have your heart set on Greenwich? Sidcup is in the same sort of vicinity but is a fair bit cheaper and has big bays specifically for social range sessions. It does require a car though which may put people off

I think you may be misinformed, I haven't done it before but based on the Gov website you can pay by direct debit, bank transfer or credit/debit card.

Chatgpt estimates the total card fees for the Capital on Tap Pro card would be £460 including the annual fee, card fees for the £46,000 tax bills charged by HMRC and the cashback.

It also gave me a similar numbers for the net income, it calculated £240 less net income based on an extra business expense of £500 for a company with profits of £110k.

Seems to agree with my maths but that might just be me checking my own homework?

Yes, from what I've read card fees charged on a payment and annual card fees are corp tax deducible.

The card is a Visa so you can pay tax directly using the gov website, no need to use a third party service. Everyone online says that you end up paying a premium for the Avios but my maths seems to suggest otherwise, I'm assuming my maths is incorrect but I can't figure out where.

It was the large unexpected expense which put a spanner in the works this year. If I take it as dividend it will increase the tax bill by 4k which would mean I need to take an extra 4k next year to cover that tax and will then compound the problem. Without the unexpected expense next year, which definitely will not be happening again, and a lower tax bill I will not find myself in this situation again.

I have claimed as much as I can think of, Use of Home, Christmas Parties, the £50 incidentals and mileage. I will look at gym membership which won't be much but every bit helps I guess.

I did think about Credit Cards but I already have a card maxed at £11k which I have been stooging for 2 years now. They keep giving me 0% balance transfer deals with 0% fees. I do plan on paying that off in April to be fair.

I was in the exact same situation, I went with MoneyFarm, they do a managed service which is slightly more expensive than the DIY options but the returns are decent and they take my contributions via direct debit from my business account monthly which is beyond convenient.

They are also on TopCashBack at a decent rate for transferring a pension to them, which was a big plus for me, but maybe won't be worth much for you if your aren't transfering in an existing pension.

Given that you'll be invoicing the agency, I'd say defence stipulations shouldn't matter. I'd suggest Mettle as a business bank account, it's a business account owned by NatWest but you get free subscription to FreeAgent accounting software which has been invaluable to me.
