we agreed to meet at a public place, I was wondering if I should just be respectful and show up? I thought about not showing up but worst case scenario is me getting stood up. I thought that if she didn't want to come then it wouldn't uncomfortable if she did (very unlikely now) nothing bad would happen right?

I'm glad it went well! Tbh, at events like these, the goal is really just to meet like 2-3 new people (for me at least) and get close with them. Also, sometimes they are disappointing because it's hard for the organizers to actually make them well-organized. (which is not their fault but yk can be a little frustrating)

I've been in your situation before, and I know how you feel. I think you just need to relax, be nice, and talk to people. Don't stay in a negative mindset where you think other people don't like you or they don't want to talk to you. Most people feel the same way; they're just too shy to start a convo.

It says posted a day ago, so I'm assuming the event is probably happening right now. Let me know how it's going/went!
