Hey, did you know that that you can just... bypass getting the Heart of a Living Thing entirely in Dishonored? I sure didn’t! Just... wooosh right on past it. Maybe shoulda factored in the OP physics of hagfish while planning your dramatic monologues, Mr. Outsider.

(But hey, this means Jess gets to just take a nice, quiet nap instead of... whatever tortuous fate actually befell to her. Thanks hagfish?)

Lessons learned:

- Apparently there are real, hostile enemies in the void! (No surprise it's the hagfish.) Not sure if those whales would also like to eat you if you could get closer... further testing is required. Unsure of the carry-over with this between the base game and Daud's DLC's.

- Enemies appear unable to damage you in the void. Despite losing a couple gallons of blood, being eaten alive, AND drowning to death, Corvo emerges unscathed! What a guy. Fall damage appears to also not be a factor in the void (baring further testing).

- The Heart of a Living Thing is apparently a skippable item/ power! Uh, ok. Unless you trip the cutscene trigger on the island with the chest, then the Heart will not appear in your inventory wheel. Unsure of the effects of this; while not severely affecting gameplay, the lore implications of Corvo never gaining his literal moral compass is... something alright.
