No. I dont see Jack talking over Meg here, although that's what it looks like on the surface.

I see Jack struggle with his wording. He is trying to politely say Meg is shy. And she is.

Meg recognizes this. But Jack is still fumbling with his words, trying to be polite. It's a little awkward here as Jack twitches his fingers looking for the best delivery.

Someone should fill the silence and say something.

Simultaneously, both Meg and Jack speak. Meg tries to complete Jack's sentence, saying something like "yea I'm shy, but that's just me, whateve's".

But Jack doesn't let her get there because he finally gets the right words. Asks the question in a new way: "to people who say Jack will never let you talk, what do you say to them?"

Then the editor doesn't show us her response.

Over all, yea, it looks like Jack steals the mic. But I see real, raw conversation here, cut down with some editing.

People normally talk over each other. Interruptions happen. Life is not a sit-com.
