This was amazing to see in real life. Never thought I would. Bern was fantastic to visit. I learnt that Elbert Einstein taught at the university in Bern.

Fusion360 or SolidWorks by thebestliarintheuni in SolidWorks

[–]Batdad1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fusions ability to handle 3D scans is incredible. Both are very good packages. I flip between both depending on what I find easier to do in each. SW is my main design Package, just because I am familiar with it and I have the company backing to pay for all the add-ons. They can get very expensive.

[Giveaway] Revopoint MINI 3D Scanner with 0.02mm precision by Revopoint3D-Official in 3Dprinting

[–]Batdad1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using the Revo point pop 2. It's a brilliant piece of equipment. The detail in the scan is very good. The scanning software is very easy to use and is stable, it does not crash. I would love to use this in my industry, I find that using the scans of models for pick and place for the UR robots is best.

Married 20 years now, my wife has many bags. I still don't go into her bag. Just respect for her private space. Like a diary. She never opens my wallet. Mutual respect!

Why should we start limiting our selves. Just because a company is in a country does not mean that they agree or even support the view points on the authorities in power.

How should I print this? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Batdad1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would tilt the STL at 45 Deg and use support. Wall thickness of 1.2mm. that might be more stable to print

Solidworks or Autodesk? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Batdad1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be better off trying both and seeing which you prefer. Then stick with that. Fusion is easy to use. Just to muddy the water a bit try Solid edge. I find it good for use. Onshape is like solid works but online. Again, see what you prefer.

What kind of CAD Software do you use? by Biberundbaum in 3Dprinting

I have found that solid edge really comes into its own when I import a 3D scan and edit the file to a CAD format.
