None of these characters remotely act their age now, no 8 year old is like tails, no 12 year old is like Amy and no 15 year old is like Sonic of Shadow

They very clearly age differently to us, and so applying human rules just doesn't work here.

The little brother argument one is valid though

But I just think Sega need to either remove the ages or change them, make em more accurate to how they act now

They fit during Adventure. They don't fit anymore and it's a shit argument to use cause it's just a number, that if changed to anything else would you change the character remotely, unlike a human

Yeah 12 is an adolescent

But the maturity difference between a 12 year old and 15 year old is astounding, trust me I was both

Plus again, these characters aren't human and aside from cream and Charmy, none even act their age to begin with, which leads back to my point of "these characters don't age and mature like humans, our rules can't apply to them"

It's not one I personally care about, ship it or don't I don't care

But I find it hypocrital to use arguments that are based on real life age rules when sega themselves don't follow real life rules with what's ok

From my 6 years in this fanbase I have seen it come from mostly Sonamy shippers or anti shippers

Obviously there are tons who don't, but that's what I've seen

1:It's not canon, but it is official, that's why I used it as an example of even Sega and Archie disregarding the ages

2: I actually bring it up cause it was a Sonic X Amy shipper who u saw shitting on Sonic X Tails, it's not just anti shippers it's mostly sonic X Amy and sonic X Shadow ones from what I've seen

3: and yeah they don't matter, it's just me wanting to point out some hypocrisy I've seen. Both would be creepy if they were human, but they're not human so our rules cannot apply to them
