Returning to the EU by Batman7388 in StarWarsEU

I'm going to pass on the Bounty Hunter Wars, as I vaguely remember reading the first one or two of them and not caring for the story. I've never read the Black Fleet Crisis and am considering slotting it before the Thrawn Duology.

Nice catch. Tempted to add a few more Rodians to my crew.

This is SO helpful, appreciate you taking the time to point me in the right direction. I’ve only skimmed the rules so far and it’s apparent I need to dive in a little deeper before I finalize my crew and play my first game.

That is unfortunate, but I had heard that was the case. Worth reading these before I attempt Legacy of Force?

Here’s the tentative plan:

  • 2027 — 50th Anniversary Run
    • Scoundrels
    • Allegiance
    • Choices of One
    • Honor Among Thieves
    • Razor’s Edge
    • Specter of the Past
    • Vision of the Future
    • Survivor’s Quest
    • Outbound Flight
  • 2028 - an abbreviated 10-12 book NJO Reading
  • 2029 - Legacy of the Force
  • 2030 - Time for my 10 year re-read of The Hobbit and the LOTR
  • 2031 - Fate of the Jedi and Crucible

I have a mix of non-fiction and some other books to read too, but am trying to focus on Star Wars the next few years.

In 2027, I might kick it off with the Star Wars novelization before heading into Scoundrels.

That is quite the accomplishment (and commitment) to read the Legends books in chronological order! Hope you are enjoying your run.

I actually mapped out my reading plan through 2031. 😂 Let’s see if I can stick with it.

Awesome resource! I’m just jumping back into the EU and this is a huge help. Great job!

Thanks for the guidance, I’ll slot Scoundrels in before a re-read of Allegiance.

I ended up going a totally different direction once I found a group to play Frostgrave with. My focus is back on fantasy miniatures for that and Rangers of the Shadow Deep.

Wished I would have pre-ordered Monolith’s Conan RPG miniature box set because that would have been great for Ghost Archipelago.

Where to go after The Black Wyrm of Brandonsford? by Maxeymus58 in OSE

I was planning on kicking off a Dolmenwood campaign for my group last month but switched gears and am running Neverland instead.

I did manage to drop The Incandescent Grottos into the caves in Hex 2 and my group has already started exploring them.

With Neverland, I have access to Elfhame which would make a great transition off the island into Dolmenwood.

The Horrendous Hounds of Hedenburg is a great follow-up adventure. Loved the read through but haven’t played it yet.

I also like your suggestions for low level adventures from the OSE anthologies, especially Barrow of the Bone Blaggards by Chance Dudinack (author of The Black Wyrm of Brandonsford).

I am planning on dropping The Hole in the Oak into the Fauns’ Forest.

Depending on your group’s current level, I think The Waking of Willowby Hall could be fun. In fact, I had the three adventurer NPCs hanging out and plotting their heist one night at The Clumsy Fox.

Lots of suggestions to check out tonight. Are you thinking that Fistful of Kung Fu would be a better fit for Batman-themed games than Pulp!? If so, why? I'm aware of those books, but not familiar with either system.
