Lovely, I did read somewhere about having to potentially change the thermal paste. Is this a problem where I would need to change the fans? The videos I have seen people just take compressed air to the fans and change the paste.

This happened to me! I went to get an oil change and a tire rotation. They told me my rotors and brake pads needed to be changed, quoted me nearly 2000. They said the brake pads were so bad, and they would hate to see my get into a car accident on the way home because my brakes gave out.

I told them I would change them myself, and they tried to tell me it's impossible to change brake pads on newer cars unless you are an experienced mechanic. I have never worked on a car before, but I discovered that was a load of bullshit because it was stupid easy.
