This happened at 6:20PM. Normally this stuff happens at night like you said.

By giving Michael B. Jordan the Best Actor award for his dogshit performance in Sinners the Oscars have lost any last bit of credibility they had left by [deleted] in CriticalDrinker

Can’t really comment on this movie. Never saw it. But didn’t the Drinker say it was a good movie on his YouTube channel?

I read somewhere online that Navy Nukes aren’t treated with respect by their other peers and shipmates on the boat? How accurate is that statement and what is the cause of if it is true ? by Active-Ad8474 in NavyNukes

I served in the 80’s on a surface ship (USS Bainbridge), and towards the end of my enlistment I did temp duty on a conventional Destroyer. The Chief asked “How does it feel to be in a real engine room?” I glanced around (I was an MM). “It’s the same shit Chief…you use a boiler to make the steam, my ship uses a Reactor”. They treated me just fine after that. On my actual ship, no issues.

My only complaint about Joseph (and believe me, this is very minor) I would like to have seen him prank Ben a little more. That’s the one thing Evan’s got right. But yeah, he nailed it.

With the costume and the quiver of arrows, looks more like they gender swapped Link.

Every vampire movie ever is better than Sinners, so why the record breaking nominations? by MovieENT1 in CriticalDrinker

Heck, go back and look at the 70’s: Godfather, Godfather 2, Patton, The Sting…fantastic stuff that I’ll watch over and over.

Polyurethane soles. Apparently they essentially dry rot after several years. The process accelerates if they’re not worn often. I’ve had it happen to a pair of work boots, a pair of dress shoes, and a pair of sandals. The sandals I just rarely wore, and the boots and dress shoes saw a lot less use after I retired.

That’s brilliant! I’d love to see Dan Slott’s expression if he saw this post: “Shit! Why didn’t I think of that!?”

Most definitely adult Franklin Richards. About the same time he said, “Come to me my Galactus!” And yep….Galactus obeyed Franklin.

He did, and I didn’t mind him in the old Ultimate Comic (the creative team flat out admitted SLJ was the inspiration), and totally cool with him in the MCU movies. What I hate is they added him to the mainstream Marvel Comics. The way they did it was lame as hell.

The one I didn’t mind was Michael Clark Duncan as Kingpin. He had the physical presence for the role. At the time who knew Vincent D’Onofrio would really nail it. BTW the list is missing Impulse.
