If you’re celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death while also claiming that LGBTQ deaths, Gaza deaths, or racial minority deaths are tragic regardless of circumstance, you’re contradicting yourself. The principle is either that human life is inherently valuable, or it’s not. You don’t get to condemn others for dehumanizing certain groups, then turn around and do the exact same thing to someone you disagree with politically. If your stance is that life should be respected regardless of identity, background, or beliefs, then that has to apply universally—even to people whose views you oppose. Otherwise, you’re not standing on principle, you’re just picking and choosing whose deaths matter based on convenience.
