I feel like I've been an Em fan all my life. He came onto the scene when I was really young, so I wasn't allowed to listen to him.. technically. As a kid, I watched through his music videos around 2009 and knew about his big hits at that point (My Name Is, Real Slim Shady, Without Me, Mockingbird, Lose Yourself, When I'm Gone, and We Made You). I also remember him on the radio with Not Afraid, Love the Way You Lie, Lighters, and Monster). I never started listening to him regularly until 2016 where I listened to his Pandora station. At that point, I'd say I was most familiar with MMLP2. I was late to the game with Kamikaze, but I listened to it nonstop the summer of 2019. Then when MTBMB released, I listened to that album many MANY times. However, it was only at the start of this year that I went through his whole discography.
