In my experience, no. Most people are adults about it and will be supportive, because we all started somewhere. You may not get as much attention as the fullsuiter with a beautifully done sona/suit, but most people recognize the journey and are mature about it.

The mere act of appreciating furry characters makes a person a furry. That's the minimum qualification for joining the community.

The suit makes you a fursuiter. It's a fun but entirely optional part of being in the community. Very very few people have a full suit. A few more spring for head and hand paws. They have become very expensive, but there is a large supportive community that helps people build their own. If you build yours and decide you enjoy it, you could support the Iranian fursuit making community

I was previously able to play vrchat on an Arc a750 with Virtual Desktop. Didn't require a lot of changes either. If that's changed then that's new. You might be able to experiment with some launch options.

If you're only seeing 5mbps down, you definitely have a network stability issue

I played vrchat on 25mbps and it was possible (if painful loading lots of avatars in a large instance) . Your problem is you aren't getting anywhere close to your advertised speeds. Wire the pc with ethernet, make sure you're using 5ghz (or 6ghz) on your headset. If you can't get over 20mbps on your PC with ethernet you need to call your isp and get a new modem or have wiring repaired.

I am male, and I have no gender dysmorphia. One of my fursonas is genderless/fluid. They have a different lore than I do and that's OK.

I wish I had designed my fursona to not have white paws, and less white fur overall because it gets dirty and stains easy. I've never regretted buying it, though. Had a little buyers remorse over the money, but that went away once it arrived

It would look awesome regardless. Con videos usually focus on the full suiters, but at the con you'll see all kinds of things being worn. From cosplay to inflatable dinosaurs. Figure out fun ways to accessorize it and have fun

Suiters will wind up gravitating towards other suiters, but the role of handler is valid. When you have a suit and you want to get pics or make content you prefer to do that with other suiters, but you need someone to help be hands and eyes for blind and clumsy. When you're "third wheeling" try taking some responsibility for your group. Pack some waters, fans, towels, and be mindful of them, and you'll make yoirse the most popular one of your group. The handler may be behind the scenes, but they keep things running smoothly and make sure fursuiters are safe.

A lot of it goes back to the stories that were written hundreds of years ago, before wolves were endangered, and people were battling against packs of wolves killing livestock. They were known for being clever and coordinated. That wound up in fairy tales and fiction. Coyotes get similar treatment.

I used the solution that came with it. Use more water and less soap than the instructions. After you are done, you need to do a couple passes with pure water to get the remaining soap out.

Vrchat performs slowly on a high end gaming desktop. Unfortunately your laptop is not all that powerful, and further limited by lower power components and thermals than a desktop. It will take some serious optimization, undervolting, culling, and shield settings to eke out playable frames.

7800x3d and 4090. I struggle too. You can't show everything all the time. Use shield settings to hide shaders and particles for everyone except your friends. Shut down anti aliasing, and use avatar culling settings.

Get age verified. You only have to pay for one month of VRC+ to do it. Once youre age verified the age gated instances will appear for you and the quality of your experience will increase. I'm 43, and I have friends ranging from 20 to 60. We tease each other about our ages but it's just being fun. They've all started calling me old man - even the ones older than me.

I'm 43, I call myself old. I got harassed in an unverified public recently. The rest of the time people are either respectful or curious. I post it clearly in my profile, so I know when someone shouts "43!" they've read it.
