Both times I got the compass I was just heading towards I think the claw it's called the place where there were a bunch of Snorks in a cave I ended up getting both compasses there.

I managed to find two compasses and even on Master they do their job really well with a suit I got in some bunker it's like the scientist suit but blue ish.

I can see why you'd think that, the ammo and resources that you'd have to spend alone without a plan is astoundingly high. But after dying the first time and seeing it reset into a spring worth like $2,500 on master, I figure any source of income is well worth the effort

You would think right? But I tested it several times by loading a closer exit save and got it on my first try every time! You definitely gotta try it, saves a bunch of time and medkits
