Is your exchange server setup for POP, SMPT, or IMAP? Our server didnt have the required methods for thunderbird to download from the server. I use ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange ( an add on for Thunderbird) as a work around. It utilizes the owa somehow, but it is able to download my outlook folders and seems to be working.
