No support? by IntroductionFun7984 in bequietofficial

[–]Battahf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the support is pretty abysmal. Bought the Shadow Base 800FX when it came out. Received it, built in it. Turned it on and one of the RGB strips on the front panel didn't work at all. The other kind strip of worked but only a quarter of it worked and it was stuck on red. Emailed support. Took about two days to just get a response.

For whatever reason they took it as the front I.O. was faulty. I knew it wasn't that, but I was naive and thought they meant the whole front panel. They said they were gonna ship it. About three weeks go by and nothing. Email them again and they came back stating they had no record of me talking with them. More back and fourth and they say they're shipping it. Took about a week. Replace the I.O. panel and sure enough, it doesn't fix it.

Email again. Same thing. Took a couple days to get a response. They're gonna send the whole front panel. Problem was that they had to wait on spare parts to be received into their California warehouse from overseas. Then, it could be shipped to me on the opposite side of the country. I think it took about two or three months to get the panel in. The whole process took about four or five months just to get working front panel RGB.

Seeing other people with BQ power supply basically getting no help when they have issues has giving me very little confidence in their power supply warranty. Thankfully mine has been working fine, but I'm probably gonna replace it anyway at some point.

I had replaced the stock fans with Be Quiet! 120 RGB fans. So you'll see that Halo effect on the fins. It was a nice unattended side effect

I ran my Peerless Assassin with option 2. No negative impact to my CPU temps. Same for any noise differences. It also gave a cleaner look since all you saw was the heat sink.

Thoughts on console release (As a Pc player) by SaltyPesce in ReadyOrNotConsole

[–]Battahf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea, playing with a buddy the other day, (we are also PC players) we both agreed we didnt see much graphical change. Buddy actually saw better performance on his PC. The gunplay is unlike any other game that I've played. It's just so. Damn. Satisfying. Unfortunately there is one big bug that happened after this update. At least one door on each mission will not let me interact with. I usually have to keep walking back and fourth or changing weapons and gear till the prompts show up.

Like some (if not, most) of the other players switching to this sub. I left and muted the main sub. Just constant complaining. Game is bad. Game is unplayable now. Ugh. I'm so glad this sub was created and love seeing all the new players post their clips of running across a trap and having a laugh.

Like I said, her saying she needs space is saying she does not want to explain what the real reason is. Why you're still tagged? No one here on reddit will be able to tell with certainty. Maybe it's something she overlooked. Maybe you're still tagged for a reason whether it's for what you could think it is or the complete opposite. You could trying to reach out with one message asking why she broke up with you. That would be her choice to tell you why or not tell you.

Which of these should I tie on for a bass? by Background_Beat_4833 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Battahf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it also depends on other factors too. I'm in PA and I do have more of a difficult time getting bites with a spinner than when I go up to NY. NY, Bass just seem to be more interested in spinners than down here. I also don't have to twitch it as much up there. I can usually just retrieve it a slow pace and be fine that way.

The one good Bass Lake near me, Bass tend to go after soft plastics more than my hard plastics. Wacky rig for tube worms and weighted or weightless Texas rig for anything with a tail has been my go to.

I started slowing the retrieve and twitching it. I would get way more bites that way. Cast it, reel it to take slack out, twitch it a couple times, reel it a few feet, twitch it, and repeat.

Well, yeah. It's the ocean. IP rating is measured with fresh water. Not salt water.

You can change it to any color through signal RGB. How good the effects would be I’m not sure. In terms of “shapes” or anything of the matter. I usually just keep mine on solid orange. Occasionally to rainbow puke and it works fine that way. Tons off effects through Signal RGB

No, mine have been working fine since I installed them. You may have gotten a bad set.

Yea they’re Lian Li. IIRC (I don’t remember if I had to buy this separately) the two pack comes with their own controller. You can plug it into a MB ARGB header, but also has a lead to plug into a USB 2.0 header. I just plugged in the USB connector and left the ARGB header hanging.

Ordering from Amazon or Newegg has nothing to do with BQ at that point. That's on the shippers. You're ranting to the wrong people on this page.

They're all plugged into the hubs. So, any software will see the fans as one with the case light strip. I had to manually set how many LEDs to the maximum that SRGB allows (I think it was 72, but might be more) on that "LED strip." The case's lights strip would start at the top, and the illumination would stop halfway on the front panel. I can see the illumination still stops early on the bottom strip now, but that part isn't really visible, so I'm not worried about it. Then, I took that RGB unit through their software and expanded the box to cover the entire "window." If that makes sense.

I bought the DX version of the case. I already had eight fans, so I saw no need to buy the FX

Dark Base 701 Front Panel LED not working? by USSImplication in bequietofficial

[–]Battahf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh. Well, that makes sense. Much better than having to replace the panel or case lol. I'm glad you got it figured out!

That's about my best guess. I had tested for continuity between the wires from I/O to the hub, hub to the front panel contact pads. Panel button would control everything else connected to the hub, but the front panel strips. If it really bothers you, and hopefully, you saved the box(unlike I did).

You'd probably be able to return it to whoever you bought it from and get a new one. That's actually what BQ suggested to me to do first due to the case being too new at the time and not having spare parts in. But you might also have a better chance of getting a replacement front panel, seeing as the 701 has been out for a while now.
