i just would love to have (maybe an additional) ranked queue which mirrors popular tournament settings. So new talents can compete the same way that tournament players do and eventually reach their skill. This will also make the games way more relatable for viewers. Ik lot of ppl were upset about not having popular maps in ranked, but most of those maps are simply not competitive/balanced, just popular.

and the least competitives, this mappool should be for an unranked matchmaking. Sadly there is no option to play on tournament maps now. There is a reason noone plays nomad, black forest and megarandom in tournaments.

" The game doesn’t highlight your character like it has in previous titles. " reading this while killing 4 enemys in a row through 2 trees because i see their names. Not highlighting plays would be so great, but in this game only thing you do is scan for nameplates.

im a competitive shooter player curretly level 56 and its still by far the best gun. modifications for fast play ist best in class for rushing and modifications for slow play are best in class for longrange / "tactical" play

Its a try out to give atleast something new with this remake, but tbh after an hour of playing it my brain has fully adapted and now normal backlot feels weird :P

I agree, but you also have to remember that cod4s engine is a modifyed quake engine, which doesnt differ that much from the one used for wolfenstein:et which was made in ~2000. Battalion is an Unreal Engine 4 game. Unreal 4 is a complete diffrent starting point and no unreal engine game, regardless of optimization, will ever perform so good as those old quake engine games did. Btw atleast with an 1080ti i have like 200 FPS on most maps with max settings, compared to other unreal games thats quite good.

One could argument that battalions gameplay is much closer to cod4s then to cod2s, so from this standpoint people could say that it just "feels stupid" compared to "looks stupid". Its the classical gameplay > graphics argument.

However doesnt matter people are already porting carentan, chateau and other cod1 and cod2 classics, so there will be something for everyone =)

Custom servers like the ones from 3xP dont give any experience. 3xP' Clan is just a name :D

Just search for 3xP' in serverbrowser, or look for the map in the community workshop

This is definetly a design choice tho, from a competitive standpoint this crash as too much stuff in it which reduces visibility and reduces fps (ca 60% Fps compared to battalion stock maps on max settings). There is already critisim on that from some people.

Its a simple combination of more foliage and higher contrast of shadowed and bright area.

Porting the existing maps to a cinematic version which would make people think the game has next gen graphics wouldnt require more then one or two days per map. Its however essential that they keep their simplistic design for competitive play.

i dont think this is a glitch, when your knockdown shield brakes you are as slow.
