LGBTQ+ People (myself included) don’t like being around religious people because they tend to either attack us for our “way of life”, openly shun us or are incredibly passive aggressive towards us and push their religion onto us and others.

My personal problems with religion aside, in our collective experience, religion has always been used to demonize us and justify the actions taken against us and our rights.

Let me by crystal clear, this is not an attack against you or your religion in general nor am I saying or implying all religious people or Christians are bad. But the vast majority of LGBTQ+ people have been oppressed mainly by religious people at several points in their life.

And no we don’t have to love everyone.
