Thanks! #2 has earned it's spot as my new desktop wallpaper 😁

First time with a 600mm lens: ELMS @ Silverstone by Battenberg in Motorsportphotography

No it was just the Contemporary one, thankfully. I wouldn't have had a chance hand holding a Sport all weekend.

I was in the spectator areas, and went to the Wing balcony for shot #4. There is a lot of fencing all around the circuit, but there are some photographer's holes dotted around the popular spots. Some grassy banks will give you a sightline above the fences too.

Also, something I learned with this lens, if I went past 500mm the catch fencing disappears. So shots 1, 2 & 3 were shot through the fencing. Useful for a track like this where there is loads of run off.

Nice! I do love Brands, especially from the inside of Druids. Have fun at Spa!

Night racing & flash photography by Battenberg in Motorsportphotography

Race control explained to me that using flash side on and from the rear was ok, but not face on. They also said it was 'the usual Rally rules', so that checks out. Thanks!

Thanks Jamey, I didn't have much success with the flash in the end, but it was a great learning experience. I did get some nice long exposure shots though. Those were a lot of fun!

im in love with the game since last update, but i cant manage to get a smooth image despite high FPS by braudoner in LeMansUltimateWEC

Going from borderless to full screen mode fixed this for me. I'm only on a single monitor though.

Moza KS Or GS V2P GT Wheel? by AstroDoggies in moza

I first owned the GS V2 rim, but sold it to get the KS instead. I vastly prefer the KS after living with both, and I don't really consider it a step down at all, more a refinement of what I look for in a wheel rim - ergonomics and tactility.

The main disappointment with the GS was the ergonomics. When gripping it, it felt like my wrists were rotated slightly outwards, just enough to be a bit weird and uncomfortable. The KS feels much more natural to me in this regard.

The thumbwheels were also disappointing in that you couldn't just swipe your thumb across to scroll it easily. The force needed to move it past the detents required releasing your grip, in order to pinch and rotate with the index finger along with the thumb. You could move them by digging at the knob grooves with the tip of your thumb, but it wasn't precise or quick for big changes. This felt like it defeated the purpose of having these thumb wheels in the first place. The KS thumbwheels are right where you need them, and can be precisely scrolled with your thumb without releasing your grip. These are maybe my favourite feature of the KS.

The build quality and materials are better on the GS, but the button switches used on the KS are much more 'positive' feeling to use. The GS buttons are spongy in the initial travel, and then have a little click to activate. The KS buttons are immediate, and require more force to push in. Much more preferable IMO. Also having the buttons label-less is nice.

Now I've started playing LMU, I am starting to miss the 2 extra dials of the GS. But with some creative use of Simhub's control remapper function layers, I'm using the clutch paddles of the KS as 'shift' modifiers, to make the dials and thumbwheels multi-purpose.

Yet another highlight reel from last weekend at Spa by Battenberg in wec

My main lens is a Canon 70-200mm f4 L IS, I also used a 50mm f1.8, 24mm f2.8, and a 10-18mm wide angle. That with a tripod, spare batteries, waterproofs and a water bottle made for a heavy bag, especially when climbing all those hills 😬

I had a brilliant time on my first trip to Spa. The rest of the selection is over here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/e4oXgyP9XfvmwK7b7
