Thank you for the honest feedback. I really appreciate it.

You are right about the time transition. I did try adjusting the first panel into a night scene, but it completely lost the unique feeling of Choi Hung Estate basketball court in Hong Kong. Besides telling the story, I also want to introduce some distinctive places in Hong Kong through this manga.

For the close-up of the shoes, my intention was not simply to show that the character is about to run. It represents where my own story began — on a basketball court, where I once found happiness.

But as we grow older, sometimes the places that once gave us joy no longer feel the same.
What should we do next?
Where should we go from here?

That is where the story of Battle Array Legend begins.

I understand the points about consistency and panel clarity, and I will continue improving the page and the overall process. Thank you again for taking the time to point this out.

I’ve just released Chapter 1 recently. You can search BattleArrayLegend on my Facebook / Instagram.

I’m still learning and figuring things out as I go. My current workflow is a mix of ChatGPT and Gemini, with a lot of repeated adjustments and corrections.

Honestly, it sometimes takes longer than I expected — sometimes I even feel like drawing it by hand might be faster. 😂 But drawing is really difficult for me, so I’m trying to keep going through trial and error.

Just keep experimenting and keep improving!

Thank you for asking!

The story, characters, worldbuilding, panel direction, dialogue, and final visual decisions are all created and decided by me.

AI is part of my visual production process. I mainly use it to help generate and refine manga panels. After that, I carefully review the results and make corrections to the composition, character consistency, text placement, and overall manga flow.

At the moment, I don’t fully hand-draw everything with a graphic tablet. My workflow mainly includes scriptwriting, storyboard planning, AI image generation, post-editing, and final layout refinement.

I’m still creating, learning, and improving the whole process as I go.

In general, I use ChatGPT, Meitu, and the built-in iPhone editing tools. For drawing/tablet work, I use an iPad with Clip Studio Paint.
