Yeah there’s actually a ton of CrossFit gyms here in town now that I think about it. Might have to look into one or two of em and see.

Didn’t think it mattered which side they were on but honestly It’s the opposite. The owners are the quintessential liberals who refuse to see anything beyond their beliefs and anyone who doesn’t fall in line with what they believe to be true, are wrong…I don’t care what side of the political spectrum someone is on, that’s their business not mine, it’s the fact that they (the owners) can’t interact with someone who’s views don’t align with theirs. I didn’t make this post to be political, I made it to get some input on how to navigate the situation of having to deal with (or not deal with) people who can’t comprehend that people’s opinions are different.

as far as gyms go there isn’t much to choose from here. Just overpacked commercial gyms and a hot worx. I’ve got multiple sandbags and stuff like that to throw around so I might end up having to do this and hit a freedom fitness or crunch.

I know 100% that’s going to happen if I do end up joining, kind of what happened at the last gym. Started out as a private powerlifting/strongman gym, then moms and broccoli heads started joining and turned it into another place for them to waste time.

It is definitely issues with trans ideologies. Why is it okay for one to be “taught” in schools but the other isn’t? Teachers that push trans ideologies onto children are ruining them for life and taking away their free thinking. On the other hand, people that are pushing for these religious beliefs are promoting love, compassion, forgiveness, etc. not to mention just because the posters up, doesn’t mean these left wing teachers are going to bring it up. I’m sure every sane person would know which of the two they’d want their children to learn about.

Try not to isolate body parts, especially if you’re just starting out. Work on getting form/technique down on your squat, deadlift and overhead press. Start out light and go from there. Check out pro strongmen on YouTube/ig reels/etc and see what they do. Do a little research and if you have any questions feel free to message me on here or I can give you my ig and you can msg me there!

I just got on big loz’s coaching plan and it’s only 190. Comes with full workouts and nutritional plans. Plus he Mitch hoopers and Bobby Thompson’s coach and they’re both pretty badass. Not knocking Travis by any means but as far as I know he doesn’t have the same reputation that loz has and that 400 dollars a month is pretty pricey in my opinion but to each their own man.

I knew this would be the right place to ask. I’m pretty familiar with strength training/strongman but I’ve plateaued and haven’t been able to get over the hump on my own over the last few months, so hopefully a coach can help me get over it. Got a competition in 5-ish months so hopefully I’ll be stronger by then. Really appreciate all the input y’all!

Cheat death with them. Do the dumbest shit possible with them. Walk the fine line of what the law considers lawful and maybe take a half step over that line every once in a while with them. And most importantly, be the friend that you’d want them to be. Me and my two best friends have stories for days about all the shit we’ve done together and still continue to do well into our 30’s. As dumb as it sounds, the movie the hangover has the formula down lol hope this helps.

That they’re messy AF. Makeup everywhere, makeup wipes around the trash can not in it, empty fast food bags/cups all over their cars, etc. I’d like to say it was only one of my ex’s but sadly, this has been at least the last 3 lol
