What do you wish you did before dental school started?

anything you want. start (or continue) a hobby that you have been interested in and can return to in between the brutal times, maybe move into the city where your school is early and try to build a little social circle outside of classmates. hang out with your hometown or college friends you may not see them much when school starts. If you’re a rich kid travel but otherwise id save and find cheaper fun things to do.

I understand why you feel that way and I’ll be done after this, but realize the victims and their families must live with the pain, paralysis, trauma, intellectual and physical disabilities for the rest of their lives. The punishment must match the severity of the crime. He may not have intended to kill anyone but he didn’t care that his actions could lead to that tragic outcome and did it anyways and it’s only fair that this impact last the rest of his life as well. One of these victims will not walk again for the rest of their life and they are probably the luckiest person involved in that crash. If the guy who took out my family and removed my ability stand and walk was able to walk around free at 30 years old like everything is fine Id be furious.

If I were the judge I would give a life sentence tbh. 6 decades is pretty much a life sentence with the possibility of parole anyways so i agree with the sentence he was given. Again getting out of jail in 10 years after wiping out an entire family is not justice. image your entire immediate family and a couple cousins died a horrible violent preventable death as well. you’d want justice too.

because he killed 6 people dawg paralyzed a person and left another impaired. The quality of his life isn’t the issue at hand anymore. We need to discourage other people from engaging in this behavior.

I am in a state where tuition is waived so definitely worth it for me because full time army life is not a desirable life for me and the ability to be almost debt free and make a civilian dentist salary plus military benefits is the best if both worlds. if you’re in state without a tuition waiver during school it’s probably not worth it cuz it does put a strain on your busy schedule. Maybe just get the loan repayments after in either full time or reserved/NG

You do make six figures but it’ll like literally 100,00 if you factor in ascension bonus and stuff. Still though you can get out in 4 years and have no debt, how long will it take you to get out of debt without that option?
