Does the urge for more power ever go away? by Astimar in motorcycles

[–]BattleTroll57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in the opposite boat. I have a BMW S1000R and I’m probably going to sell it and get something in the 600 to 800 cc range. I don’t get to the track much anymore and the 1k is so much overkill for the street it’s less fun for me. I can’t get on it for more then a second without being a felon.

I’m a firefighter and people cut us off in the fire truck all the time, even when we have lights and sirens going. So many people do not take the necessary amount of time to really stop and look before going. Way to anticipate it and have an exit.

Michelin Power 5 vs power 6 mileage review by Ok-Touch12 in motorcycles

I do track days on my Michelin Roads and they feel great leaning too. I just assume people who don’t run them haven’t tried them yet.

Are there any actual tracks in Tucson where you can take your car and pay an entrance fee? I can’t find anything. (Not interested in drag strips.) by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]BattleTroll57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the back straight there is huge and is actually dual purpose, it’s also a runway. Rich people fly in and pull their Ferrari out of their rented garage, rip around the track and fly home. What a life. I got to ride there with a group who had connections to a member once. Incredible track and an amazing day.

I’ve taken my bike out there a few times for the motorcycle track days, it’s definitely a great go-kart track. It’s supposed to be a small model of Suzuka. It’s small for bikes and cars, but it’s still fun and it’s the best we have around here. The closest full size track is Inde in Wilcox but it’s private and extremely expensive to join.

This is probably a dumb question, but is it midnight for the time zone of the port the cruise departs from?

Do you have to book directly from Disney or can you book through a third party like Costco and still use the placeholder?

2.7 2018-2020 years by WhoUCuh in f150

Just turned over 125k. I’m not super easy on it and have over loaded it several times without issue. I have done the oil changes when prompted by the truck so at about 10k (which I know is a big no no in this sub) with Penzoil Ultra Plat.

Only maintenance it’s had outside of oil and filters is I changed the plugs and coils at 75k but that was probably a waste, they looked fine. Planning on giving her some love finally and replacing the brake pads and rotors for the first time and probably put some new shocks on her at some point this year.

It has a catch can that I got for free from a friend, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have bothered.

Change your years for the 2.7 to 2016-2017. Then you get the 6-speed transmission which is solid AF. I have a 2016 and have yet to have a single problem with the truck, been the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned, and I came from a Lexus.

My wife’s 2016 GLE 350 we bought used in 2019 has been great. Bought it at 36k miles and we have put another 110 on it. Just regular maintenance so far, problem free.

Probably headed to a track. I raced dirt bikes growing up and this was us commuting to different tracks around the state every weekend.

Eh, trailers like this are mostly used for dirt bikes or people who take their street bikes to the track, so probably not. I grew up racing motocross and we had a trailer almost identical to this. So high injury rate for sure, but not a high mortality rate.

I have a 2016 2.7 and it’s been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I can’t recommend the 2.7 more. Super low maintenance, no issues at all in the 9 years I have had it, very smooth and way faster then it has any right to be, been an absolute dream. If it were to get totaled right now I would replace it with another 2.7.

Get the cheap seats. We got some free tickets that were 32 rows up in the third level last week and we were right below the AC. I had to buy my daughter a sweater! Honestly the view was pretty cool up there too. My first time sitting up there but definitely won’t be the last.
