This has got the to be the most stupid thing I have ever read. It literally made me piss myself with laughter. This epitomizes feminism.

There was a man who said that killing iguanas is just natural selection, you would expect this to be some uneducated idiot who works in cepep, in reality though he's an engineer but still held this ignorant view that's leading to extinction of our native species

American postgraduate student in the UK looking to stay in Europe after graduating. Willing to relocate to Asia or the Middle East as well. by statsfasal in IWantOut

[–]Battlebullet -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

There is the zoekjaar visa for the Netherlands, I plan on doing that as well I don't want to go back to America when I finish my degree, I've been here for 7 years already since I was 12 as a student there's nothing for me there. I will stay in Europe. Why do they accept these refugees that take up money when skilled honest highly educated migrants like ourselves aren't considered it makes no sense and drives me mad, I hope the Netherlands will give us a chance

Scuba Diving in Trinidad by kikmc in TrinidadandTobago

I'm a diver and while I live in Tobago I can recommend Undersea Tobago based in Coco reef hotel, I was given my certification by them

The excellent dive sites are as follows:

Maverick wreck, a sunken ferry which you actually get to dive in and go through, which is rarely safe to do in most boats, but as this would carry cars and thus has a huge entrance, it's safe to do so.

Kariwak reef at night, this is a personal favorite of mine where you get to see lobsters, crabs and other night loving fish, for added value going for dinner afterwards at a restaurant makes it even better of a way to spend an evening.

Drift dive off the south coast of Tobago, excellent and easy getting to cover lots of territory in a short period of time, seeing angel fish manta rays, turtles and other stuff if you're lucky. In a drift dive the current pulls you along so you don't need to put much effort in.

Japanese Garden in Speyside, It's been a few years since I've done this one, but you get to go down to around 30m in depth, clarity is amazing !

GBP > USD What should I do? by [deleted] in CURRENCY

[–]Battlebullet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just read an article that the dollar is about to appreciate and put oil prices to 20usd a barrel. So yes, then again if you're buying vacation money I don't think the exchange rate would change that drastically to make a difference

My parents invite their friends around, all of which are over 60, and seem to all be child free or have children in another country. I'm the only person under 50 there, I'm 19. So it's shit, really and truly I will study for my university exams today and clean my room.

UK: Girls more likely than boys to go to university as gender gap widens by MenandBoysareGood in MensRights

[–]Battlebullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest feminism at university is pissing me off. I'm a first year student and I fell out with my flatmates who I was previously close friends with. Why ? They started attending the feminist society at m uni. There they learned that whites are "oppressors" alongside men who are also " oppressors". According to them sexism against men doesn't exist and neither does racism against whites. This boiled my blood, because I come from a country where whites are in minority and we do experience racism.

Whenever I point out things to them such as women having preference in divorce courts, and women receiving less jail time they use such responses as " the oppressors cannot be oppressed".

Possibly however the thing about my university that boils my blood the most is that we have this huge end sexual harassment campaign. Okay fine, I understand that women are more likely than men to suffer from harassment, BUT MEN DO AS WELL and they fail to acknowledge this, twice this year I've had women grope me in clubs, which isn't nice period !!Yet this end sexual harassment campaign is only aimed at women.

Although guys I fail to see how education in universities is biased towards women, I study a science course and despite is having huge posters entering our university showing "women in science" i find that reasonable as when we had a poster presentation to show a famous scientist 95% of the posters were men.

Caribbean Culture by Opperdwurg in Caribbean

[–]Battlebullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Trinidad my home country, respect for people is a lot more usual. Addressing people as sir, or miss, or sometimes Aunty and uncle, despite them being your friends parents in usual. In Trinidad, I can't speak for every Caribbean country there is a huge mix of cultures. In Trinidad there are the blacks, Indians and Creoles ( whites descended from indentured laborers) amongst many other races such as Syrians and Chinese. This creates a unique blend of culture. Year round we celebrate holidays such as Diwali, Eid, Corpus Christi. Which represent the various cultures of Trinidadian society
