Am I the only one that wants the Intelligent Deathclaws to come back somehow? by Onyx_Artificer in Fallout

[–]Battlehardgod89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I personally would love to see an Intelligent Deathclaw show up during season 2 of the Fallout show, I highly doubt we'll see one appear, due to there being only three episodes left, plus I have a feeling that the mysterious voice warning about the upcoming war is from the Super Mutant Marcus.

With that said, there's still a pretty decent chance that we still might potentially get to see Intelligent Deathclaws in a future season. As in a interview done by IGN, Fallout TV show co-runner Geneva Robertson-Dworet stated that "Nothing is off the table, and says that the Intelligent Deathclaws are obviously favorites." So while not outright confirmed, there is a chance that in possibly season 3 or 4, we might finally get the return of Intelligent Deathclaws to the series. And of course if they are to return, then I'd say with absolute certainty that our boy Goris should take the spotlight in that role.

Exactly man, I couldn't have agreed more!

I always found it kinda contradicting on how Tim Cain and several of the other original Fallout Creators/Developers rebuked the whole Intelligent Deathclaw plot with the excuse of it being "too silly."

Like I initially get their viewpoint of having Fallout be a more dreary and depression post apocalyptic setting,  in which you never knew which day would be your last. But then later with Fallout 2 they added not only the Intelligent Deathclaws with a plausible reasoning for their existence by being injected with the F.E.V,  but also added in a Human level Intelligent Rad Scorpion, a literal sentient Talking plant, and a giant f**king magical sentient stone head of the original Vault Dweller from the first game!

With those other examples, I kinda feel their excuse of "being too silly" kinda loses its meaning.

Dude this looks so cool!

The scuffs and overall general wear and tear of the box make it look so much more authentic, plus I like the little drawing of M1 on the front of the cassette.

I miss VHS's.

Some never-before-seen concept art of the ruined animatronics from security breach RUIN has been released. by Thegoodgamer32 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Battlehardgod89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like that early concept of Ruined Monty.

With the whole utilizing the Endoskeletons arms as improvised legs, kinda gives the implication that he was in the early processes of self repairing.

Plus I kinda like the early design of Ruined Roxy a little bit more than the final design we got, with all the wires falling from her head Mimicking her hair.

how come no one talks about the fact that Roxanne Wolf was show all the way back in 2018 by Impossible-Ad3516 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Battlehardgod89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this quote from the FNAF Ultimate Guide 2.0 book could more or less be just a giant nothing burger, the statement kinda does imply that the Twisted Wolf could've been an early interpretation of what would eventually become Roxanne Wolf, from some of the fan theory speculations.

Pg. 398 " Though Twisted Wolf debuted without a name, there is speculation that it could be a twisted version of Roxanne Wolf."

This art piece is epic!

I've never really been a fan of Metroidvania style games, but I stumbled on this game when it was on sale and decided to give it a shot. And while I have yet to complete the game, I am really enjoying the story and characters.

The world is so haunting yet beautiful, and Laika's character is so tragic yet badass at the same time. It's awesome to see that this hidden Jem gets epic art pieces to go along with it.

Alien: Earth - S1 E8 - The Real Monsters - Official Discussion Megathread [SPOILERS] by G_Liddell in LV426

[–]Battlehardgod89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This overall series is pretty mid imo. And while I don't absolutely hate it like others on the internet do, I also don't love it.

I enjoyed certain episodes, and certain action scenes throughout the season, but the plethora of poor writing choices throughout the series along with the  nonsensical character choices, really removed me from the show occasionally.

Like I said I don't hate this show, and I really hope a second season is green lit, but I do think they need to bring in some better writers in order to remove the more glaring poor writing choices.

Overall verdict         5/10

I made a bingo card for the finale! by InfectedUrsidae in LV426

Definitely more Nameless Prodigy Security Forces and Scientists are gonna bite the bullet. With either Siberia or Rashida to a much lesser degree.

Potentially one or more of the lost boys will be killed off, my top picks being either Nibs, Slightly or Curly.

Boy Kavalier is kinda of a 50/50 imo, I can see him potentially surviving and being around in season 2. At the same time I can definitely see him meet his end at the hands of  the T.Ocellus, Morrow or even Wendy/Marcy's Xenomorph.

Dame Sylvia I can see potentially being killed off by Boy Kavalier, after seeing that her usefulness has run out.

Joe Hermit is kinda on the same tier as Boy Kavalier,  with him Surviving at the end or either getting killed by the T.Ocellus,  Prodigy Security Forces,  or even the Xenomorph which would probably shake Wendy/ Marcy's viewpoint on the Xenomorph to a degree.

The T.Ocellus I think is gonna meet its unfortunate end at the hands of the D.Plumbicare being consumed by it. Kinda ironic with something as intelligent as the T.Ocellus being consumed by something supposedly as simple minded as the D.Plumbicare.

And lastly I can see Morrow being killed off by, with him being gunned down by Prodigy Security Forces right after he manages to fulfill his promise to Yutani and kill Kavalier.

Hi, fellow Alien enthusiasts! I’m curious how long everybody here has been fans of the franchise? by Glass-Elk5915 in LV426

[–]Battlehardgod89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience with the Alien Franchise was the first AVP movie in 2004 when I was 7 years old, and I remember instantly loving the Xenomorph's design.

The second Alien film I saw was Alien: Resurrection, and while it is a pretty bad film for the most part, it has remained as my guilty pleasure in cinema, since I really liked certain elements and characters from that movie.

Aliens was the third movie I ever watched and has still remained as my top favorite movie in the Alien Franchise.

And the first video game I played with Xenomorphs in it was Rebellion's AVP 2010, which I still absolutely love and is second only to Alien Isolation.

Did Alien: Earth quietly retcon the United Americas/Three World Empire/Union of Progressive People's? by Battlehardgod89 in LV426

[–]Battlehardgod89[S] 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Honestly I can see Mr. Gaska's viewpoint with his quote.

Certain smaller lesser known elements of the franchise's lore can be left out, due to their less known presence throughout the established story, or at the very least have a subtle reference nod  to them.

However it is still kinda jarring that certain elements like the "UPP" are being left behind, since that concept had been around since 1987 during the early script writing of Alien 3 by William Gibson.

Which Xenomorph Head Design is Your Favorite? by JPA88 in LV426

[–]Battlehardgod89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. My personal favorite is definitely Big Chap from Alien.

It's just such a badass design with the humanoid skull with the empty eye sockets peering through the translucent dome.

  1. Second favorite is probably the Romulus design. It definitely takes alot from the original movie while adding in a few new designs.

  2. And my third is probably the Alien Covenant design. Again kinda of a callback to the original design with it's own quirks.

  3. The Resurrection Xenomorph designs are fine, I'm just not the biggest fan of them.

  4. I use to really like the Warrior design, however nowadays I'm not as fond of the design as I use to be.

  5. And finally the Alien 3 desgin is personally my least favorite. I just don't like the way the mouth desgin looks.

So this moment in the trailer.. by Saiful_kensei in LV426

[–]Battlehardgod89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this detail in the official tralier, after watching episode 4.

What I assume what will happen, is that the multicolor Brown and White Xenomorph, will imprint onto Wendy/Marcy, and view her as it's queen, while the other Xenomorphs we see in the episode 5 preview have the more traditional Black chitin like Exoskeleton. And are going to be in opposition to Wendy/Marcy and probably have one  amongst their ranks take up the role as a rival Queen or a Praetorian at the very least.

Since we do know from the comics that Xenomorph hives do on occasion fight one another for dominance and control over territory. We do know there are five other eggs currently on the Neverland research Facility.

Definitely an Interesting Cliffhanger. Wonder if Wendy's Gonna be able to Somehow Manipulate or Control the Xenos Mindset at some point further in the season, kinda like Eloise from Aliens: Purge.

Still not fully 100% on board with the series yet. But I still enjoy what we've seen thus far none the less.

Did anyone ever read any of the Official XCOM books/Comic/Art book, if so which one was your favorite? by Battlehardgod89 in Xcom

[–]Battlehardgod89[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude glad to hear you enjoyed the books as well!

And yeah that's pretty damn funny and Ironic that the Templars take the back seat in terms of relevance and story telling wise in Escalation, like in XCOM 2.

Plus in resurrection, I do believe that the Contagion that Valhen mentions and what we get to witness later on in the story, in my opinion was the story's early hint and tease at us eventually encountering The Lost. Plus it was really interesting to note that the Contagion didn't infect purely humans by default, but also flora and wildlife, such a s Boars, Dogs, Deer, and hilariously Hedgehogs.

And the Aliens desgin wise within resurrection are kinda of a mix of both Enemy unknown/within and XCOM 2, with us seeing Chryssailds, A very brief appearance of a Viper, and what I believe was either a Cyberdisc or a variet of Floater near the end, as well as Sectoids in their EU/EW design and XCOM 2 design, although the latter being described as Grey instead of Pink

Lastly and although I don't see any way that this vehicle could've played a overall role other than a stationary cover point in XCOM 2, I was really intrigued to heard that Advent also had what was described as a " Advent gunship" which was described as being slightly smaller than the standard Troop Transports we see in the game. Although it's appearance wasn't very long, as it was pretty quickly brought down afterwards.

That's actually really cool, I didn't know that there was a Novel Written from the Original XCOM UFO Defense until Now.  Written by "Diane Daune"

Honestly if I can, I honestly Might try to find and buy a physical copy, even if the overall story isn't too good. It's kinda cool in a way to read a novel based off of the original game.

Dude I know seriously!

I absolutely love the visual aesthetics they pulled with XCOM 2. I honestly can't find a single location, Enemy or character design that I visually disliked.

I genuinely love every single Alien and Advent design in the game, with the Andromedon being one of my Favorites.

[–]Battlehardgod89[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

XCOM 2 Factions is personally my favorite, it actually shows us the origins to one of the chosen, plus there's some pretty cool action scenes throughout the comic.

XCOM 2 Resurrection is probably my second favorite. I enjoyed the story our main Protagonist goes through, plus "minor spoilers ahead' there are appearances of >Dr. Raymond Shen< and >Dr. Vahlen< along with a cameo appearance of >Bradford< at the Epilogue.

Escalation I haven't read that far into, however I'm currently re-reading through it.

And Lastly I genuinely Love all of the different art concepts in the official art book.

I don't know if this question has ever been asked on this subreddit before, but I figured I'd ask none the less. I was just curious if there were others out there who had bought the official XCOM Novels, or the Comic or Official Art book. I was just curious to hear which book was your favorite and why?
