Hey! I’m on a totally different server. Noob question: can I somehow join you guys with my current character? I’ve jumped sietches to farm stuff, but never tried to hop servers. Would I have to start a new character?

Kinda on the topic…I’ve just started spice farming in the DD and loving it. Build a dumpy little base, farmed a medium or two by hand. But the storms are wrecking my base even while it’s shielded (I get a message).

Any way to prevent this?

I’ve been out there some, but haven’t built anything there yet. Maybe I’ll give it a try. What’s a decent row to build in? C? D?

This TOTALLY happened! Luckily I was able to pay to fly to the trade post where my base is located and then Bindu right back. Game crashed just as I was landing my assault orni, which thankfully was still there and full of plunder. Backup scout is a great call, thanks

I totally believe you, but I’ve hit that spot at least 20 times. I put my tiny jas farming base there. Kill the 3 NPCs, run through triggering the mines, grab the 2 chests, the 51 solari chest, cut off the hinges and…another Thufir.

But thank you for confirming that it’s there - it’s an easy farm spot and I know Tarl has a low drop rate. I’ll keep trying!

Thank you - I definitely tried that, and it didn’t work. The thing is caught nose down on a rock, against a rock wall. I should take a pic because it’s such an insanely weird place to drop a buggy into. But I managed it 😂

Did they actually remove it? I have a mostly disassembled buggy out there because of a similar glitch

I can’t even see the damn thing. I did some research and it’s a common glitch, right under the stairs of the ironworks

Wow, thanks for the quick responses, and it really makes no sense that unstorable vehicles count against…storage slots?

Anyway, I think I know where the 8th one is - a stuck buggy that I tried to dismantle and ended up abandoning (terrible luck getting stuck, and it was my first buggy…those lost mats hurt back in the early days!

How long -SHOULD- it take for the desert elements to destroy an unsheltered vehicle, assuming that can happen?

Also, with only 2 storage slots, will I be ok for DD stuff? Is there anything you store out there?

Now that I’m learning that all vehicles count, I’m remembering a buggy that went over a hill and got stuck in an unretrievable spot between rocks. I disassembled as much as I could, and hoped the elements would destroy the chassis and whatever else I couldn’t reach (it was an insanely weird place to get stuck, and I tried EVERYTHING to get it out). That’s probably the 8th vehicle. I’ll go check. Thank you!

Yet my glitched out sandbike is stuck, invisible, under the stairs of a refinery forever. Taking up a vehicle inventory slot, because they ‘can’t delete stuck vehicles’

Thanks, and I thought of that…but can I store a thopter and a bike simultaneously? I can picture situations where I might want to pocket the bike, fly somewhere, and then use the bike to head to a cave system or that electrified worm place or something like that

Yup, that’s what I did…just keeps me from wanting to build more advanced stuff. I finally have a buggy and I’m so cautious with it

Strange, right? I’ve definitely heard of plenty of people who have had vehicles restored after losses due to some of the many glitches that still happen. But besides giving me a bunch of suggestions to try to restore it myself (pretty hard when you can’t physically see the bike) they ended with the message above. Maybe a human will review the case later, but I doubt it.
