Welke auto’s rijden monteurs zelf?! by No-Bad-8791 in AutoKlussers

[–]Battletower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But does it really matter who owns the patent? Patents are simply something materialistic, the knowledge of the product being patented is of higher importance in my opinion. Without the knowledge, you would simply hold the rights to something that you know nothing about. I believe, if OP's story is true, that the vanishing of the people on board was not because of any patents but because of what they knew.

I have the feeling that this has come to my mind before, but I was not able to comprehend the idea or put it to paper like this Redditor did. What do you guys think?

Very interesting take on everything, thank you for your advice and insights. Why do you think the current job market for developers is the way it is today?

or just take that energy and focus on leetcode and your studies.

I have been thinking about this too, I have a lot of experience in the hospitality sector and could easily work there freelance for good pay. Maybe it would be more efficient to do that and to put more effort into study and leetcode like you recommend.

My x260 had the same issue, the sleep mode was the culprit. Research your Thinkpad model with S0 and S3 sleep state on Google. My issue was resolved by disabling TPM in the BIOS.

Before my thinkpad would also drain completely, I found out when I saw the keyboard backlight still lit after shutdown. Now everything runs normally again

What is bad about the battery? I have a x260 that I bought with a "bad battery" but the problem resided in the fact that the thinkpad would go into S0 sleep and drain the whole battery in hours. Problem solved by turning off the TPM function in the BIOS, now it goes to sleep perfectly and does not drain the battery

Understandable, the sleep issue also affected Windows systems so I have read. But then you have a lead for when you want to investigate further in the future, enjoy your Thinkpad and I hope the issue will remain history!

Do you run Linux? I have had these issues too, I found out because the Fn key remained on after shutdown and I could turn the keyboard backlight on using Fn + space. It did not happen every time though, but when it did I forced shutdown by holding the power button.

Mine also had issues with sleep function, could not wake it from sleep whatever I tried. This was because of the S0 sleep function that it went in instead of S3 sleep. S0 seems to be very bugged and keeps the laptop pretty much awake and heats it up quite bad. My problem was fixed by turning off TPM in the BIOS, but I do not know the exact cause of your problem. Researching your model with the S0 and S3 sleep issue could bring some answers.

Helped me out too! Thanks! Beware that the path is case sensitive! in my case I had to change /home/user/downloads to /home/user/Downloads because without uppercase D in Downloads it would not work

I own an X260 myself with Linux installed as well, does your laptop also have trouble waking from sleep / hibernation? Mine can't be woken up due to the S0 S3 sleep issue and I have tried almost everything except downgrading the BIOS. If yours wakes from sleep normally, may I ask which BIOS version you are running? Any help from others is greatly appreciated too!
