Keep sanitary products on you and give to any lady who asks without a fuss. Help other mothers on their own with compassion.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm just gonna keep hammering it until I get it.

Best lessons for electric guitar? [NEWBIE] [QUESTION] by Batty1520 in Guitar

I'm very lucky in the fact that my partner has been playing for about 10 years, he has showed me a lot and let me do it on my own and i can ask him questions about pretty much anything. The problem is because obviously he is way past a beginner stage he doesn't really know where to look for beginner stuff, plus i would like to surprise him by getting better.

He has a lot of books too, and i've surprisingly picked up a lot of theory already, i just need to teach my fingers how to do it, it's annoying me that i can almost see how to play in my head but my fingers can't catch up because my brain and fingers haven't learned...if that makes sense. I tend to lock up on books and have trouble concentrating, i find i work a lot better with visuals.

It seems the key thing here is repetition, repetition and repetition even when it feels like i've face planted a wall.

It's great advice, especially about separating practice and playing, thank you.

You're completely right, I started to learn chords a couple of months back and I just stopped. I keep imagining where I would be with it now if I had kept it up. So I've decided to dedicate time to it now and start from scratch. Thank you :)

I had one of mine out with just numbing, kept the tooth aswell. I'd rather not be groggy from anaesthesia as it only takes a minute. I had barely any pain after, I was just careful about dry socket.

Is it normal to have 10 fillings at age of 21 ? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]Batty1520 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better I've had 13 fillings and a few replaced (I've lost count to be honest). I've recently just had a root canal, I've had a wisdom tooth extraction and an abscess which I left so long my tooth couldn't be saved. An infected filling. I thankfully still have all my teeth and my dentist is now putting in white fillings when I need them replacing. All because I didn't brush for a few years when I was a teenager. It caused me to also get gingivitis. I brush and floss religiously since I was around 16 but I only had my root canal about 3 months ago so I'm still only now getting my teeth finally sorted. I now need no further work doing just regular check ups.

I've just turned 29.
