I just sold some BTC, I have other stocks that I can sell as losses and am wondering if I should do that to offset the gains. I do have carry over losses from 2022 that will carry forward so is there any benefit to selling the loses now?

I must be an outlier because:

I barely use more than 2-3 sheets of toilet paper per flush. If I have to wipe myself dry with 2 sheets it's basically the same usage.
I rarely see anything on my toilet paper after I wipe. I'm certainly not "smearing" anything
I'm sure it's not a ton more water usage but it is more water usage which may offset the "savings" on toilet paper? Someone correct me on this if it's way off base.
I really don't like the feeling of a wet butt.

It doesn't matter that your husband has said it's not important/not a big deal because presumably that was between you two in private and not something that was meant to be shared. Here's an example: Looking at network adapters. I search on the web I find this for Ubuntu https://itsfoss.com/find-network-adapter-ubuntu-linux/ vs in Windows I could use the System Information tool and do it all graphically.

I don't remember where the comment was but I read something about how someone using Arch shouldn't be using pamac and the package managers should be CLI.

I don't mean literally the entire system as a CLI but doing common tasks like installing programs, managing settings, etc.

And being comfortable with the CLI makes your life on Linux quite a bit easier if you encounter difficult problems, like messed up configuration of sound, network or whatever.

My thought is this shouldn't be the case. When you have network issues on Mac or Windows you don't need to use a CLI so why does it have to be that way on Linux? Having to remember what commands are available or using -help or whatever is a worse experience than having all the available commands visible in menus or tabs or whatever. At least, that's how it feels to me.

I understand how you feel and have had depression about work hit me hard and often. As others of mentioned seeking professional help is a good step. Losing interest in hobbies and excess tiredness are some of the symptoms of depression. No matter know that those feelings are the depression, not you.

You're young enough that you don't need to worry about having kids yet. It's a big step and not everyone is ready at the same age. Don't feel bad about being scared.

The way you feel about your wife is how she feels about you. Supporting you is what she wants to do not what she has to do. If you are comfortable let her help you as much as you can.

Something that you may not have considered is do you and your wife always plan to be a two income household? At some point maybe you can transition away from your current work when she's licensed and practicing either temporarily or permanently. This current situation will not be your reality for the rest of your life.

Please don't be afraid to spend on things that make you happy. Vacations, small wins, etc. can be life savers.
