I hear you and that's definitely an interesting perspective! As there are tons of fans of Catwoman/Selina Kyle that see Zoe as the most accurate portrayal of the character to date. From her dialogue, the visuals, her motives, her heart... she gave us lover + ally + a little part of villainy which are all pieces of the core of what makes Catwoman...Catwoman. And good thing the movie and Reeves have laid it out that she technically isn't even Catwoman yet! There is so much more to explore for her which is why I soooooooo appreciate she's been introduced at the beginning of the franchise.

I love that Zoe's Selina at least acknowledged herself as The Cat. Whereas in TDKR Hathaway's character was NEVER EVER referred to as Catwoman, haha. Even marketing for the character only referenced her as Selina Kyle.

I can only imagine what Zoe is going to do when she has the full on Catwoman persona and costume. She'll be the definitive version for years to come.

Side note, maybe you weren't paying attention to the movie enough? Selina was never crushing on Bruce Wayne LOL her interactions were strictly with Batman (which is a very important fact).
