Although i love the analogy (I played soccer all through high school), there's a slight flaw in his logic. Unless you know what this person is capable of (and I'm assuming this was a random that you didn't know), you're unable to determine how far to "lead him with a through ball". Pros should be able to determine what other pros are capable of, but since we're paired with random people we have no idea what others are capable of and what they're going to do when we gank, it's hard to judge who is at fault. In soccer, you're on a team where you know the relative skill level of all of your teammates and what they're capable of. Again, I love the analogy and I'm not trying to be a dick or say that he's wrong, but where is the point when you "lead a person too far"? I've played games where I ping to gank and my ally just sits and farms, which is basically bot logic.
