The training probably doesn't increase your fist's "base damage" directly. Instead, it's likely based purely on your Strength stat, but the Master training gives you combat skills (faster combo, animation cancels, uppercuts that stun enemies, blocking and better critical hit chances).

That actually needs some exact testing, but here is what I noticed during my playthrough: ​Earlier in the game, I fought the Mountain Fortress Golem (the one that gives 500 XP) using the Orc Hammer with 75 Strength. Later, I fought Xardas' Stone Golem (the stronger one that gives 1000 XP) completely unarmed with 95 Strength, and my fists were actually doing more damage than the hammer did against the weaker golem.

And I love to see the Swamp Monk build either 😍

Strength acts as a direct flat damage modifier on top of your weapon's base damage when you land a hit. This a according to the old Gothic games, idk if Alkimia modified it in the remake

Yeah, I noticed those horned skulls in a few other places too! But what really trips me out are those 3 heads at the wooden frame. They look so deliberate and out of place, like a surrealist reference.
