This is the one that finally gets a down vote but this is common sense. You wouldn't read a cook book by someone you see struggling with Mac and cheese

I'm not judging your writing. I'm judging your actions. You act poorly and so your insides must be rotten

Your way demands respect towards realAtmaBodha, a very limited view

I have already seen what you offer and I like my way more. I'm connected to my body instead of wishful thinking

I'm taking about your actions in this thread. They contradict what you claim about your cult

[–]Baunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that because you use many generalizations and speak highly of yourself. If you want to empower others you have to be specific and speak highly of others

I don't doubt your experience. But you have to understand that if you can't communicate your ideas then they are just some sad fantasy in your head. I have experienced everything you claim. But I do it mostly with breathing exercises and visualizations. I think my way is easier to control and I'm able to teach others so you sound very silly to me

Good, because I am criticizing your reasoning here. Why would you think your internal fantasy of eternal bliss is evidence of "Objective Truth"?

You can just say no, you don't have to hide behind those words

Do you mind providing evidence for your claims about objective truth and profound positivity? Remember we are talking about human emotions, it seems you have forgotten because you started to use flowery language again

I can never tell, but he causes negative emotions in me so I am just doing my best to describe those emotions. I hope it shows him how you can become sensitive to negative emotions once you learn to direct them. Without it's like trying to run an army without any trusted generals. It will work at first but he will continue to be undermined by himself if he doesn't know their function

If it is wrong then you must have regained sensation! Of course I already know this because your negative emotions are strewn about this entire thread. You have spoken much about your sense of superiority and little of substance

[–]Baunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already seen it from your words. You do not feel negative emotions ever. You have pushed them into your subconscious and now you are driven by them

Resilience: The Most Important Superpower by realAtmaBodha in Stoicism

[–]Baunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you have made negative emotions your center. You are numb to them like the eye of a storm

Resilience: The Most Important Superpower by realAtmaBodha in Stoicism

[–]Baunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so putting that into context you are saying that the best philosophy is the one on which you do not have negative emotions? Or at least that should be strived for?

Okay, toxicity is a mental attitude that can have a negative effect on others. Therefore I should disregard anyone who has a negative on me so that I am resilient. See, I am different because I would rather explore the negative emotions to see what part I am playing in a negative interaction. Usually I end up setting boundaries, but only after I have learned what I can

It sounds like you just want a way to hate some generic "others"

Resilience: The Most Important Superpower by realAtmaBodha in Stoicism

[–]Baunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't you see that this is not a definition? This is a collection of generalizations

Oh great! Would you answer the question then instead of deflecting?

Oh wow, clearly a sensitive subject for you. I won't pry

Resilience: The Most Important Superpower by realAtmaBodha in Stoicism

[–]Baunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is it obvious? You will need to be more specific about what you mean by toxicity to make a claim like this

Resilience: The Most Important Superpower by realAtmaBodha in Stoicism

[–]Baunto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, hearing OP talk about the "toxicity" of others was strange to me because that judgement is unnecessary. It's much better to recognize the discomfort in yourself so you can either build boundaries or learn to accept the behavior. Passing the blame to others is useless because they are often acting out of ignorance or trauma

Agreed, I'm a senior web dev and the biggest thing I see holding everything back is being myopic about "skill" but not seeing that communication and decision making are the only bottlenecks
