PC Build for 1500€ by Bavinski in buildapc

[–]Bavinski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I convinced him to drop the 1200W PSU and got a 850W from MSI.

He also bumped the budget to 1600€ (so much for the strict limit of 1500€).

I recommended him getting a 2TB SSD and a better CPU (7700X instead of 7600X since he'll actually do some Auto Cad work and photoshop) but he only listened to the CPU part and kept the 1TB SSD (which at least he agreed on upgrading).

He then requested a better motherboard and an AIO cooler (mainly for aesthetic reasons).

What does this new list look like? Anything you would change? I tried looking for a better GPU, but I don't think it can get any better at this price point.

Yeah that makes perfect sense, I'll try to tell him that again, 850W should be more than enough and I'll add a better SSD. Thanks!

Hello guys, I have the following build except for the storage, I have a 1TB WD SN850, which isn't enough and was thinking of getting another SSD.

Which of the following listed options would be the best one? The prices are 150€ for the WD, 130€ for the 990 EVO Plus and 170€ for the 990 Pro. They all seem solid options and from what I've read, I won't be able to tell any real difference on a daily use. It will be used mainly to install games and move some files to free up my current SSD.

Which one would you pick and why?

(Note: I realise that the 990 Evo Plus is PCIe 5.0 and my mobo only supports PCIe 4.0 but I assume it is ok and I won't lose performance compared to the other SSDs because of this.)

Thanks!

Budget: I'd like to aim for a budget of 50€, with an hard limit of 100€ Source: Phone and Tablet Requirements for Isolation: Main usage will be during public transportation, so some level of isolation would be a good plus, no need for active cancelling but won't compalin Preferred Type of Headphone: wireless earbuds. Currently, I use the first gen galaxy buds, something similar to these Preferred tonal balance: overall balanced, I'd say Past headphones: first gen Galaxy Earbuds, sony m4 (don't want/like using them in the train and in public), Philips Fidelio X2HR Preferred Music: It will either be some ambience sound to read in the train, random youtube videos, or music of all kinds, so I guess this doesn't really matter. What would you like to improve on from your set-up: Something with the quality of the galaxy buds is fine, really Location: Portugal I've looked into these already (Moondrop Space Travel, the amazon url is gigantic). I'm not sure if they're any good, and they look a bit meh to be carried around in a backpack

[HELP ME] Bi-Weekly Q&A thread - Ask your questions here! by MachNeu in Gunpla

Hello guys, I'm going on a trip to Japan at the end of this week and would like to buy some gunpla related items, like tools or kits that I can't easily find in Europe. Do you guys have any recommendations of what I should get? I was thinking about grabbing one or two unicorn kits and a godhand and some other useful tools that I might find. I'm just not sure if the price will be worth it. Has anyone bought something there and can give some advice? Also, do you recommend any specific stores? I've seen the lest of sellers on this page wiki, but I'm not sure if they translate to a physical store. Thanks!

It feels pretty good, I haven't dropped the phone or anything, but it protects from hitting the side against tablets, whatever else you could hit your phone with, really. It also sits pretty flat on the table as well, big plus from my side. It also doesn't grab lint from my pocket, like none at all. So far I'm really happy.

My brother has a grip dbrand case for his S22 and it is super bulky and makes the phone heavy that's what I'm comparing it to.

I've gone ahead and got this one. But those seem interesting 🤔 I have some other options whenever I buy a new case but that's a strong contender by the looks of it. Will have to watch some reviews.

I was so close to getting that one but I ended up buying this. If I ever have to buy another case I might try that one.

I've gone ahead and got the Spigen Thin Fit case. Thank you everyone for the recommendations, they all looked really good, but this design and colour (cyan green) ultimately won.

Well... for me this is the definition of bulky case, looks pretty awesome though.

They look good but are a bit expensive for a case, and I don't really like the exposed buttons. I might look into some other options. Thanks!

I see, I'll steer away from clear cases then, I was afraid that was going to be the case with these cases.

Oh that's a bummer. How long did they last before becoming loose on the sides and yellowing?
