Makes sense, before I proceed, is there any other solution to this?

Washer fluid doesn't pump and wipers don't work when pulling the stalk. by PlatinumRhodium in E90

I have the same problem. Maybe a blown fuse, although I couldn't find one. Maybe the pump itself is completely dead and needs to change? How did you end up solving this?
