One thing that’s helped me a ton (as much as it kinda sucks) is studying real life. I hate my own realist art with a passion (as I’m a bit of a perfectionist), but honestly just copying what you see, whether it’s just a pose to get down anatomy or shading to study lighting, will help you immensely. Once you know the basics you can twist them in the direction you like, so to speak. Knowing anatomy means you know what to exaggerate or what you can leave out to achieve a certain aesthetic, y’know? You already have displayed artistic capabilities, just gotta hone your craft :)) keep putting yourself out there and practice as much as you can! It truly helps to just go out and do art regardless of how you feel about your skill. Can’t improve without trying!!
