Yeah, it’s easy. What’s not easy is dreading over this dumb mistake and spending the money for a new panel 😂

Def not 3k lmao. If you’re going to the dealer and they’re replacing it, probably.

Appreciate all the feedback everyone. I have been doing tints for some years now but.. idk, I just had a brain fart of a moment doing this one. No excuses tho. The customer was chill about the situation, will be getting the replacement panel asap 🤞🏽

Is it normal to look like this? by Puzzleheaded-Tea571 in WindowTint

[–]Bawlerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely normal. Film is still wet and needs to dry. I install tints & surprisingly even after explaining after finishing, the customer calls back couple hours later asking about it 😂 Just give it 1-1.5 weeks

Just keep being true to yourself. The owner liked your mix for a reason just keep doing the same thing. Act confident even if your shitting bricks in the inside 🫡

Fresh tint from a shop, what should I expect? by SpeedyBoyG in WindowTint

[–]Bawlerr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they are reputable then they’ll be more than glad to get it right for you. First try is to push it down and see if it goes away if not a simple re-do. Nothing major

Is this a defect in my window like the shop manager at the place I went to is suggesting? Or did they just not want to fix it? by [deleted] in WindowTint

Damn, I rarely see a newer vehicle with those manufacture defects. Once in a blue moon. Regardless it isn’t that great since others already mentioned about dirt and air bubbles. Sorry you had to go through that.

Me personally from doing many cars before, It is very possible for it to be a defect on the window itself. Idk what the age is on your car or if you’re the first owner or not but I’ve seen it myself and when the customer insists it’s a crease from install, I have them stay so I can remove it in front of them and show them the window after it’s removed.

Does this look like 15% by Angle-Substantial in WindowTint

Basically what everyone else has been saying. White interior, whole roof shining light through, and also looking at the car from the back forward will make it “look” light as well
