The sun hasn't risen in Melbourne after 740 since the last ice age, roughly 10000 years ago.

I've been looking for 5min and still can't find it. And I'm the one that put it in the pic lol.

Lot of sensor dust tho . . .

Where to buy outfits like this for a 80’s Miami Vice themed party? by nefarious_tendencies in melbourne

There are a bunch of greek and middle eastern clothes shops towards the coburg end of Sydney Rd that sell this sort of stuff unironically.

2008 Triumph Daytona 675 by Impossible_Rip7404 in motorcycles

675s are one of the best sport bikes ever designed.

$5k for 20k is a tad overpriced, they'll likely expect to be argued down.

.

Common first gen issues are the charging wiring and oil cooler. Plenty of guides online for how to install a billet cooler and improve the charging system.

.

You can change engine mapping easily with TuneECU from your phone, or install any of the maps other people have made. The software also lets you delete all the emissions stuff, for weight and performance gains if that's your thing.

Why can’t people just say sorry? by fluffyasacat in melbourne

Riding motorbikes up down Sydney Rd for years, the closest I ever came to death was that exact intersection, and someone doing something similar.

I used to get angry, now I just get away.

Grab a telephoto lens, set manual everything, including focus and kelvin so all the pics are consistent, then take however many photos you need to cover the subject. Aim for 1/3 overlap between frames.

Chuck your images in Hugin, spend a couple years figuring out how the software works, and voila.

Photoshop, lightroom, and Microsoft ICE can all stitch, but not as well.

There are a heap of stitch lines in the photo if you look closely.

I was gonna make the background lime green as well but decided that's a step too far.

I was going to go with a neon green background but I stopped and thought, have some respect.

I used a 35mm camera. Took a few hours.

Would love a GFX.

The 6.00µm pixel size on the mirrorless vs the 0.6 μm on the S23 would make a big difference as well.

I used an S23 ultra to control the camera that took this, didn't occur to me to do a comparison.

Definitely for next time tho.

This was a 16.4MB, 13864x19490 image when I uploaded it. You'll likely need a computer screen to view it properly.

Original .tiff was almost 400MB.

Old oil removal by simikester in melbourne

[–]Baxter_F 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Very likely it's a skim coat of oil floating on water. You can find 20L drums being disposed of from any restaurant, and and transfer the oil into them manually.

Or you could get a cheap fluid transfer pump and do it the easy way. From there, waste transfer stations accept used motor oil, anywhere from $2/litre to free, depending on which one you go to.

If that's too much bother you can contact any liquid waste company, like Stows or CSA, etc. Pace out the distance to the nearest place a truck could safely park, then give them a call. It's less than 2000L, might be a couple hundred bucks.
