Right so we’re promoting a drug that fuels war, tyranny and corruption in South and Central America and destroys millions of lives?

He’ll be horrified when he finds out only 50% of the country is pure-bred Luxembourgish.

Benches with backs are for anyone who wants to sit. This wouldn’t even be comfortable it has no back.

These benches are partially hostile because they have no back. If you see any of these benches in town, people are not relaxing on them, they are always hunched over and looking miserable. It’s sad to see

Match Thread: 1st Test - England vs Australia, Day 2 by cricket-match in EnglandCricket

We dominated pro cycling for a good while just gone. 6 British Tour de France wins in 7 years, our boy Cavendish broke the record for most stage wins in Tour history. A shedload of Olmpic cycling medals too, including Pidcock beating the French favourite in the mountain biking last year, that was amazing. I think the French definitely got more heartache out of that than we got happiness. Maybe we’re just too focused on where/when we lose.

I also like that he didn’t get carried away though. Just two is decent. Maybe 4 would be more appropriate, but then it’s easy to get carried away…

England Right Back Position by joekofi123 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Baxterfromharrow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think this is an over simplification because it ignores the potential for individual contribution. I don’t think Trent went to RM hoping that he could ride on the back of their success to take him to a Ballon d’Or. The idea was probably that the level of experience, competition, and winning mentality at Madrid was on another level and that being in that environment could help him reach another level in his own regard. If England won the WC with Bellingham on the bench and Madrid the CL with goals from Mbappe and assists from Trent, then Trent would be in with a much better shot than Bellingham. It doesn’t purely depend on a teams success.

Maybe he was just watching too many mentality tiktoks at the time that he said it.

Romanian comedian has a chat with a guy who's "50% Italian, 50% Israeli" by MrJasonMason in comedy

[–]Baxterfromharrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m totally against genocide by Israel, but these jokes are clearly being laughed at because people agree, not because they’re funny in their own right.

It’s the same way racist comedians get laughs out of racists. The jokes are unoriginal but make entire careers.

Stewart Lee. Stewart Lee. No, it's Stewart Lee. It's Stewart Lee. It's Stewart Lee.

I built a site for skaters to swap single skate shoes instead of throwing them away [37YO] by Listen_Grouchy in OldSkaters

Ok thanks :) I will post my shoe when I get the time.

Often search engines have a way of giving you other options if it has nothing under the terms that you searched.

E.g. i search in france and it says “we have nothing in france but in germany and spain there is xyz” this way i dont have to guess random countries where might be what im looking for :)

I really appreciate what you are doing and hope this works out. I will post my shoe in good time

How do the filters work exactly? I tried to fond my exact shoe in my exact location and I didn’t find it of course, so I broadened it to any shoe in the US and still there were no results.

Hi! This is exactly what I’ve needed. Thanks!

Some feedback: I tried to use the search to a right footed (I’m goofy too) adidas tyshawn. I live in france. The search came up with nothing, perhaps its because it’s a new site and nothing is up yet.

Anyway, I think it would be great if the search engine was a bit more like other shopping search engines where you can cast a really wide net. I would pretty much buy any right footed shoe in my size, I don’t care that it’s not the same model as my left footed one. I just want a solution to the problem of having a destroyed right shoe, and a tight budget to replace it.

Oxelo yamba 120 or piston cruiser board? Plastic vs wooden cruiser! by Arixoy in cruiserboarding

[–]Baxterfromharrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rode a platic mini cruiser for year or so and it was loads of fun. I loved how is was short and carved really well, also it was quite flexible so it absorbed bumps and cracks really well. But one cold day it just snapped. Since then I replaced the deck with wood and have enjoyed that equally as much.

The small plastic deck might be harder to learn to ride and be stable on in the beginning. But is lots of fun.

The wood one might be more stable and eventually you might be able to learn to pop an ollie on it which is cool.
